Filming Update
Today had a very slow start, we felt we were running out of places to film so we went back to Deansgate bridge to get some more ideas so that we was still making the most of our time. We decided to do some more reminiscing shots as we hadn't filmed any in this location. We took some shots of the couple sat together on a bench; we didn't give much direction on what to so because we wanted it to appear realistic. Me and Zafreen then decided to film a long shot, then zoom in a bit and film and continue like this until it was a close-up; in a similar manner we filmed them and then zoomed in until the camera went between their heads and past them. This shot looked very good when we replayed it back; the sun shining behind them which meant that the shot was clear and there was 3 seagulls sat on a hand rail behind them; overall this made the shot look professional. We also went to the top of the bridge and zoomed onto them so that it's a high angle shot, looking down at them. When we captured this on Final Cut Pro we thought that it could be implied that it's Syed looking down at his memories.
Then we went to a nearby area and had Syed lip-sync the next verse. We wanted him to be sat down on the stairs so it creates variety in the pose of the star; he also lip-synced the chorus. We filmed him with a long shot, mid shot and close-up; this makes it easier during the editing process to be able to have enough footage to create fast cuts and show a mixture of shots.
